my classroom is decorated and my lesson plans are typed up...well almost.
school starts tuesday and it is here if i am ready or not. jord came to have lunch with me on monday and i couldn't resist taking a few pics. he makes me laugh.

we had meet the teacher tonight and it went well. it's funny to see the timid faces walk through my door and know they will be the class clown in a few short days. :)

i will miss my dear payton, but i know she's in good hands with my mom. i rocked her to sleep tonight knowing i wont see her till 4:00 tomorrow. she kissed me goodnight and rested her sweet nose on mine, looking into my eyes and it was as if she was telling me "i'll be okay mom." sniff, sniff.

i have such talented friends! i just found a wonderful surprise in my mailbox for my birthday. my childhood, dear friend amanda (aspen's momma) handmade me these beautiful earrings. she truly makes one of a kind artwork. i love her jewelry!

as i mentioned in an earlier post i got a cricut for my bday. this is it and this is just one thing it does. it is a digital di cut. i just love it. from now on you will only be getting personal cards and gift tags from me :) i started with helping my mom out. she needed elijah's name in her nursery. so i came up with the design below. it will be draped on a mirror next to paytie's name.

this is another project that i have been working on. my craft room....i finished painting it and ordered a wall decal from etsy and turned a boring tree w/ birds to our personal family tree. i was really pleased with how it turned out.

our dear friends dustin and audra came to visit us for the weekend. dustin and jord have been friends since grade school and audra and i were college roommates(don't let that sweet smile of hers trick you...she was such a prankster to me). we had a great night out for dinner and a super funny improve show.

men always look so funny taking a pic together. i love how women are quick to touch each others back or arm for a pic and men just stand there and sometimes smile :)

happy birthday mom! i love sharing our birthdays. it is an experience that not too many people have. you always made me feel special on august 11th even though it is your special day too! thank you! i love you!

last night my family took mom and i out for our birthday. we went on a very special outing in downtown georgetown and had a taste of everything. they took us on a progressive dinner date. we had appetizers at dia's, a thai restaurant. then wildfire for yummy steak and blue cheese mashed potatoes and finally silver & stone for cream brulee' and more. it was a perfect evening and we even had a mini photo shoot.

ps...i got a cricket machine!! yippee!

meet miss pearl! (or at least that's what we are calling her) she is possibly our new family member. my sister found her roaming the streets and picked her up a few days ago. she was way over due for a bath, but patrick cleaned her up and we have given her a new home. we would love to keep her if the owner doesn't contact us. i took her to the vet and she thinks she is about 3 yrs old. she is a precious, silver yorkshier terrier and paytie is in love with her "puppy" as she calls her.

yes, you betcha i went into the store with pearl in my sling. :) hey, i have to advertise any way i can!!! she has such a sweet side about her. she'll be going to the groomer when her shots kick in.

we visited oklahoma and nana and grandad spoiled her rotten! they kept her very busy and we had a lot of fun enjoying the beautiful (non-hot) days. here is a little of what we were up to last week. they got her this cute little baby stroller and she loves it!
