happy birthday theoder seuss geisel

it was a special day in schools all across america, we decided to share in the joy.
our neighbor came over to celebrate with us. we made cat in the hat-hats, drew on whiskers and cat noses on our faces, read books, ate green eggs and ham and sang happy birthday to dr. seuss!

i know these green eggs and ham don't look super yummy,
but the kids were asking for more.

eli, was hoarding the dr. suess stuffed animals.

these are just a few of our dr. seuss books that my inlaws have collected for paytie. she loves them! jord laughs every time he reads them to her.

this celebration was a bit interrupted by payton locking the bathroom door from the inside and shutting it on her way out. mind you, we only have one bathroom. i had 3 toddlers in my home and 2 of them are potty trained(well, payton is almost there). AND me, a pregnant woman with a baby pushing down on her bladder. oh, it was not fun for a little bit. we improvised and then i somehow remembered where the tiny key was to unlock it 2 hours later.

LOVE IT! I remember your Seuss stuffed animal collection from your classroom...so fun that you continue to bring your teaching skills into your home. What a special treat for the kiddos. :-) (glad you found the bathroom key!)
